We're on the ballot!

Hey Team Shapiro — welcome to our very first blog post! Over the course of the next eight months, we’re going to keep you updated with everything happening on this campaign — from stories out on the trail, where Josh stands on some of the biggest issues in this election, and more about this people-powered campaign.

Yesterday was the deadline for submitting petitions to get on the ballot for Pennsylvania Governor — and we have some exciting news to share:

Josh Shapiro collected thousands and thousands of petition signatures from all 67 counties and now he’s officially on the ballot!

This team couldn’t be more grateful to see this outpouring of support for our campaign from Pennsylvanians all across the Commonwealth — and to officially be on the ballot in this election.

How did we get here? Let’s take a look.

Josh and his endorsed Lt. Governor candidate Austin Davis campaigned across Pennsylvania to meet with friends and supporters and gather petition signatures for the ballots.

Two weekends ago in Southeast PA, they were joined by United States Reps. Madeleine Dean, Mary Gay Scanlon, and Chrissy Houlahan. At every stop, Josh and Austin highlighted the importance of getting involved early in this year’s campaign — getting off the sideline and into the game. Over the course of the day, Shapiro and Davis campaigned with hundreds of supporters in Montgomery, Delaware, Chester, and Berks counties.

Josh and our entire team worked with supporters across the state to get petitions out in neighborhoods across the state. We recruited volunteers and coordinated with county parties to get out the word.

We even snagged a video of him talking about the petition process and signing a petition for himself:

Back at HQ, staffers from every department verified signatures, sorted petition pages, and counted how many people are supporting Josh in this election.

We’re thrilled and humbled by the support from thousands and thousands of Pennsylvanians to get Josh and Austin on the ballot. The next step: winning in November.

Stay tuned for more!
