Josh Shapiro Gets Out the Vote for 2021 Candidates on the “Big Fights Bus Tour” in Delaware, Chester, & Bucks Counties

“The best way we can show that we will defend democracy is by getting out to vote in 16 days.” – Josh Shapiro.

PENNSYLVANIA –Today, Josh Shapiro brought his “Big Fights Bus Tour” to Media, West Chester, and Morrisville, where he rallied hundreds of Pennsylvanians to get out the vote in 2021 and campaigned with municipal and judicial candidates who are up for election this year.

At his first stop, Governor Wolf and Congresswoman Scanlon joined Shapiro at the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology in Media, where he kicked off a canvass launch for the Democratic candidates in Delaware County, highlighting how communities in suburban Philadelphia have flipped over the past several years, becoming Democratic strongholds.

Following that stop, Shapiro took the Big Fights Bus to West Chester, where he rallied on the steps of the Chester County Historic Courthouse with Governor Wolf in support of Democratic candidates who would help grow the economy, create good-paying jobs, lower costs, fully fund our schools, and build a brighter future for all Pennsylvanians.

In the afternoon, Shapiro traveled to Bucks County where he spoke to over one hundred supporters and launched off a door-knocking canvass for 2021 candidates, including candidate for State Supreme Court, Maria Mclaughlin. Shapiro highlighted the importance of voting in this year’s election and getting in the game at every level – from municipal and judicial offices to statewide and federal campaigns – in order to protect the right to vote and defend our democracy.

From rallying with hundreds of supporters to campaigning with federal, state, and local leaders, Shapiro continues to build off the strong start to his campaign. He has already visited 12 counties since launching his campaign less than a week ago and will continue to bring his “Big Fights Bus Tour” to communities across the Commonwealth, highlighting his record of taking on the big fights, standing up to those in power, and getting things done for Pennsylvanians.
