What you should know about me

I’m Austin Davis — and I’m running to be Josh Shapiro’s governing partner in Harrisburg, a voice for the people of Western Pennsylvania, and your next Lieutenant Governor.

If you know me, then you know why I’m in this fight for Pennsylvania, but if you don’t, here’s what you should know:

I grew up in a working-class family in a working-class neighborhood — my dad’s a union bus driver, and my mom’s a hairdresser.

I’ve seen firsthand how hard my parents and the folks around me had to work to make ends meet, and it’s why I chose to pursue a life in public service and plant my roots in my hometown of McKeesport. It has always been my belief that those closest to the pain should be closest to the power.

I ran for State Representative to tackle the issues facing families like my own — and when my community entrusted me to serve, I fought to deliver real results.

Because that’s what public service and caring for your community is about.

I’ve advocated for economic equality, worked to lift people out of poverty and secure fair funding for education, and committed my life to bettering the lives of people in Western Pennsylvania.

But the work is never over so long as families are struggling to get by in Pennsylvania, and Josh gets that, which is why he’s running for Governor.

Josh has spent his career fighting for Pennsylvania families, like those from my neck of the woods, and he’s running for Governor to continue that work — but he’s not alone.

In what will be one of the most competitive, expensive, and closest elections in Pennsylvania history, Josh is leading a historic ticket — a ticket the people of Pennsylvania can count on.

So I’m proud to be in this fight with Josh and the people of Pennsylvania, and I’m ready to make you proud as your next Lieutenant Governor.
